Policies and Research
Groundwork North East is an organisation committed to delivering measurable improvements in quality of life for communities in need.
With over 18 years of practical experience in the North East on which to draw, Groundwork is contributing to the development and delivery of public policy in a wide range of areas. Current issues:
- employment, enterprise and regional development
- neighbourhood renewal, housing and sustainable communities
- green space and land restoration
- renewable energy
- waste management
- youth work and community safety
- education for sustainable development
We also invest significant time into looking at better ways to manage the many projects we deliver and to ensure that they offer lasting benefits to the communities we serve.
As part of this process we commission research and evaluation as well as supporting research undertaken by others relevant to our work.
