About our Organisation
Welcome to Groundwork North East
Groundwork North East is the regional office serving our five Trusts in East Durham, West Durham & Darlington, Northumberland, South Tees and South Tyneside & Newcastle. Each year our Groundwork Trusts are actively involved in over 550 regeneration projects. The role of the regional office is as a strategic unit which aims to:
- Support existing Trusts to develop a range of activities and share good practice
- Support, develop and expand the Groundwork network of partnerships to improve service delivery
- Expand Groundwork activities across the region
- Develop new programme areas with public/private/voluntary partner organisations
Groundwork in the North East is part of a federation of Trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland each working with their partners to improve the quality of the local environment, the lives of local people and the success of local business in areas in need of investment and support.
